Family preservation services
ABC envisions a world in which all children have a healthy, safe life full of joy, learning, and love in a nurturing family. To this end, we provide preventive services to New York City’s most fragile families, who have experienced complex, compounded, and often multi-generational trauma. We are proud to share that 94% of the families served by our preventive services program remained together in the last program year, compared to the citywide rate of 63%. With your gift, we will continue to help families build tools to break the cycles of abuse and neglect.

The gift options that are shown in our shop reflect the various ABC programs designed to help vulnerable children and families. Each item is representative of our commitment to serving our children — when you donate to one item, please be advised that your gift may go towards another service if there is a pressing need. For example, if you purchase a child a book, but we find that our children are going hungry in their homes, your donation may go towards food items.
