Honoring Matthew Kane
Matt was a beloved member of the ABC community, a truly special teacher who made a difference to the lives of so many kids. In his own words, here is what his role in the Moose Room meant to him:
“I’ve wanted to teach ever since I was little – everyone was always trying to convince me to go into finance, but I knew I wanted to get my teaching fellowship. Coming to ABC and getting to work in the Moose Room was the best decision of my life. The atmosphere at the Graham School from the top to the bottom is so supportive, empathetic, and understanding.
I got into teaching to be a positive male role model for the kids. It’s what I love. Every year, I’ve dressed up as Santa. MaryEllen always asks if I’m sure I want to do it… Of course I do! The thought that my job those days is to give presents to kids who might be going through a tough time, there’s nothing else like it.”
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering donating to the Graham School in Matt’s memory.
