their Fiesta de Quince Años

Best
friends since they were preschoolers together at the Association to
Benefit Children’s Merricat’s Castle School and devoted supporters of
ABC’s work with vulnerable children, Janelle and Olivia are marking this
special milestone
by reaching out to help children in need. |

In the Latin culture,
La fiesta de Quince Años
is a special event.
It is when a young girl, together with family and friends, celebrates her
journey from childhood to becoming a young woman facing new challenges
and responsibilities.

“ABC is a great organization with wonderful nursery
schools that blend children together in friendly and happy preschools. I
attended Merricat’s Castle Nursery School where, at the age of two, I
met Olivia. We became friends immediately, and today remain best of
friends. Ever since I left Merricat’s, I've been coming back to either
visit or help out in the classrooms. I really love working at ABC,
especially
with the kids at Merricat’s who are 2 to 5 years old. I especially enjoy
reading to them, and cooking and singing with them, as well as
comforting them during their rest time. It is an honor for me to be able
to work with so many diverse children in such a special nurturing and
welcoming setting.”
