Echo Park is ABC’s new 27,000 square-foot children and family center.

On-site services for children include:

  • a mobile mental health clinic
  • therapeutic after school programs
  • summer day camp programs
  • weekend mentoring
  • recreational activities
  • therapeutic groups for children in crisis, who have experienced trauma and ongoing psychiatric disorders.

Integrated into and wrapped around the children's services are a number of family preservation services designed to strengthen and support vulnerable families including:

  • parent support groups
  • job training and employment assistance
  • homelessness prevention
  • child abuse prevention
  • family counseling
  • parent education.

By bringing such a comprehensive array of programs under one roof, a large number of families in East Harlem are able to easily and swiftly access many of the services they need to become whole and strong.
