The Association to Benefit Children (ABC) is dedicated to bringing joy
and warmth to children and their families through compassionate,
sustainable, and integrated services designed to permanently break the
cycles of abuse, neglect, sickness and homelessness. By developing
cost-effective, easily replicated model programs and using these models
as the basis for broader advocacy, ABC has significantly improved the
national landscape for children and families. ABC Corporate
Sponsorship Opportunities
Corporate support from local and national companies is critical to
ABC’s ability to provide much-needed programs for children and families
in East Harlem and throughout New York City. ABC offers a variety of
sponsorship opportunities, which have been designed to be flexible and
accommodate the needs of our corporate partners, and are tailored to
meet your marketing and public relations needs. Sponsorships begin at
$5,000 for any special project of your choice. Your gift will be
recognized in a variety of ways, and your corporate name will be
associated with the Association to Benefit Children, a true leader among
child and family service and advocacy organizations.
Being affiliated with a nonprofit organization also builds staff
morale and gives employees a sense of “purposeful work.”
According to Cone/Roper Corporate Citizenship and
Cause-Related Trends Studies:
• Almost eight in ten Americans (79%) believe that companies
have a responsibility to support causes.
• Almost nine in ten Americans (88%) say that during an
economic downturn and period of tighter consumer spending, it is important
for companies to continue supporting causes.
• 81% of Americans would switch brands, when price and
quality are equal, to support a cause.
• 88% percent say that when they see information about a
company supporting a cause, they are more likely to remember that company.
ABC is a trusted name in the non-profit sector and has been
providing services for thousands of very needy children and families on a
daily basis in New York City for over 20 years. By becoming a corporate sponsor you
will benefit from the visibility and marketing opportunities provided by an
affiliation with ABC as well as access to a wide ranging demographic, all
while supporting a well-established and respected organization.
ABC serves almost 2,200 individuals throughout the year –
including over 1,100 children – and has over 300 volunteers throughout the
organization.
ABC’s operational budget is $11,700,000. At ABC we are
extremely proud that $.87 of every dollar goes directly to provide services
for children and families.

Our special events provide a unique opportunity for your company to
increase brand awareness, strengthen sales and entertain and motivate
employees and customers.
- ABC Skating Party
– ABC’s signature
event, the ABC Skating Party, has been an annual tradition since 1991. This
spectacular evening is an opportunity to bring together and honor ABC’s
friends, volunteers and supporters, while at the same time allowing the
children in ABC’s programs an opportunity to be paired with children and
adults from the community for an evening of skating, food and fun. There are
typically 300-500 attendees per year.
- Thanks for Giving - ABC’s third
annual Thanks for Giving Benefit will be held on November 7th, 2005,
and presented by
Fresh Direct. This elegant evening takes place at the beautiful
Union Theological Seminary and is hosted by Ed Levine, author of “New
York Eats.” New York City’s finest chefs prepare both traditional and
innovative Thanksgiving dishes. Paired with creative cocktails, this
delicious buffet dinner is a perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving and
kick off the holiday season. A silent auction adds to the festivities
for the evening. ABC anticipates 200-300 attendees this year.
